The Maastricht Diplomat
I’ve always been fascinated by the transformative power of storytelling, how it gives meaning to our experiences and shapes our perspectives. As a journalist at The Maastricht Diplomat, a fiercely independent, student-led news platform, I discovered just how powerful investigative storytelling could be.
I began writing and reporting, but soon found myself stepping into the role of Head of the Audio-Visual Team. There, I managed a passionate, fast-paced team of reporters. Together, we set out to uncover the human stories that mattered most and create space for voices too often left out of the conversation. We developed and produced podcasts, edited late into the night, and built a platform that delved into everything from legal scandals to cultural deep-dives.
