The Maastricht Diplomat | Head of Audio-Visual Media
I’ve always been fascinated by the transformative power of storytelling — how it gives meaning to our experiences and shapes our perspectives. As a journalist at The Maastricht Diplomat, a fiercely independent, student-led news platform, I discovered just how powerful investigative storytelling could be.
I began writing and reporting, but soon found myself stepping into the role of Head of the Audio-Visual Team. There, I managed a passionate team of reporters — chasing stories, shaping them, and creating space for voices too often left out of the conversation. We scripted and directed podcasts, edited late into the night, and built a platform that delved into everything from legal scandals to cultural deep-dives.
